New Release in 2026! Critically endangered Dwarf Mountain Pine seedlings

The Blue Mountains Pine is endemic to the Wentworth Falls area in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales, growing on rocky cliffs, primarily on the edge rainforest pockets and near waterfalls. This small, spreading, pendulous-branched shrub thrives in cool, moist environments with partial shade, though is quite adaptable as long as it has plenty of moisture available. It features very attractive blue-green, soft needles and a shallow root system. Able to grow on rocky and sandy soils, it also does well on well drained organic material and loams with a slightly to moderately acidic pH. This tree has great potential as a groundcover or feature plant in water gardens and as a bonsai specimen. It exhibits good frost tolerance and handles direct sun and occasional heat up to 40’C well, as long as it is well hydrated.

With less than 500 wild individuals ever found, growing these plants helps ensure their future and protect against extinction. We encourage you to grow it in small groups with close proximity to a few others which will help it pollinate. This pack of 4 tubestock are ready to pot up or plant in the ground in a sheltered position.
